William Schaefer Wyke Sr., age 83, of Cecil Twp., paseed on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
He was born March 15, 1940 in Canonsburg; a son of Alex L. and Marie G. Schaefer Wyke.
William was a graduate of McDonald High School, class of 1957, and a graduate of Point Park University in 1962. He served three years in the United States Army and spent some of that time in Korea.
After his service to our country, he went on and became an accountant. He was employed by Gurrentz International for 33 years, where he retired in 1999.
On August 18, 1962, he married Majorie A. Litwin, who survives.
William loved going to the Casino, having a cigar, scratching off lottery tickets, spending time at his pool, watching Pittsburgh sports teams and most importantly spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Joann Senich of Cecil, Lee Ann (Paul) Chimento and William (Chrissy) Wyke Jr. both of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Gianna and Nicolas Chimento, and Evan, Meghan Shea, and Nathan Wyke.
Deceased is a brother Lee Wyke.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Service LLC. 218 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057; A Mass to celebrate his life will take place Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, St. Alphonsus worship site, at 1:15PM in McDonald, PA. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
