Susan K. Stewart, aged 73, passed on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
She was born February 8th, 1950, in Washington, PA, a daughter of Howard and Sarah Martin Vance.
Susan was a 1968 graduate of Avella High School. She later earned her Associates Degree in Business Management, building her career from managing the funds of a coin operated laundry business to using her knowledge and skills to aid in the development of a psychiatrist’s practice, all the while raising three boys. She went on to dedicate years of hard work as a Manager for Jackson Hewitt.
She married the love of her life, Allan E. Stewart, on October 17, 1970.
Susan loved her husband, sharing that she knew he was the man she’d marry the day she met him, enjoying her life by his side. She loved her dogs, spending her days diligently caring for them. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and was known for her holiday cookie trays and New Year's Tiramisu. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting beautiful blankets for her loved ones. She loved her home, watching the wildlife around her, enjoying her abundant garden, relaxing with a warm cup of tea. She was strong, generous and thoughtful. She was always willing to help those in need, especially during the holiday season.
Surviving is her loving husband of 53 years, Allan E. Stewart, of McDonald; her three sons, Robert (Stephanie) Stewart of Virginia, Scott (Barbie) Stewart of Raccoon, and Timothy (Emilie) Stewart of Imperial; four brothers, Harold Vance of Ohio, Thomas Vance of Hookstown, Cleveland Reddinger of Kansas, and Fred Reddinger of Avella; four grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Stewart, Alexandra (Paul) Potenziani, Morgan Stewart and Matthew Stewart; two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Owen Potenziani.
