Ralph Kessler Obituary

Ralph L. Kessler, age 72 of Sturgeon, passed on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

He was born December 15, 1951; in Sturgeon; a son of the late Sylvester and Helen E. Rance Kessler.

Ralph was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School. He then served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his service to our country, he became a lifelong truck drive, driving for several different companies, his last for Weavertown trucking in Cecil.  

Ralph was a member American Legion and VFW, both in McDonald. He loved to fish and hunt with his best friend and brother in-law, the late Jim Klein. He loved spending time with his sister Jeannie, who he shared a special bond and his grandson Little Brian who shared a special love for John Wayne.

He will be remembered most for his sense of humor, his wife of 25 years, Kathryn Kessler surviving, still never knew if he was serious.

Surviving are two sons, Brian “Missy” Falconer of Southview, Robert “Bob” Falconer of Hendersonville, TN; five grandchildren, Kayla McConnell, Gavin, Brian, Addison and Brayden Falconer; one great- grandson Abel Carr; a sister Peggy Schmac of Sturgeon; two brothers, Kenneth Allison of McDonald, and Sylvester JR. Kessler of Carnegie; brother and sister in-law Kim and Helen Donaldson; a special nephew Shawn (Kathy) McKay and their children, and his furry kids, Clint, Kate, Belle, and Jack whom he recently adopted from his late sister Jeannie.

Deceased is a son, Michael Kessler, four sisters, Beverly “Dolly” Werner, Jeannie Klein, and Judy Sutton and Lori Bellaire and, one brother, Dale Kessler.

At the request of Ralph all services are private and entrusted to Graff – Nation Funeral and Cremation Service LLC. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057. His remains will be placed in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville.
