Wilma May (Heaps) Thomas Krenzelak, 89, formerly of McDonald, Prosperity and Washington passed on to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Donnell House of Washington.

She was born February 18, 1926 in Monongahela, a daughter of the late George Ellis Heaps and the late Dorothy (Hardesty) Heaps Davis.

Mrs. Krenzelak retired to Largo, FL after many years of service at the Washington Hospital as an LPN.

She was a loving, compassionate and spiritual person.  She was active in the Big Brothers and Sisters program when she lived in Washington, and a longtime member and volunteer at St. Paul Methodist Church in Largo where she was active in the Stephen Ministries.  She was more recently a member at the Friendship Methodist Church and remained a faithful servant when she could no longer attend services.

Her passion was sewing. She made most of her own clothing and was always on the ready to do mending, altering and patching.  She was the leader of the Outreach Program at Ranchero Village in Largo, FL where she and the other volunteers made blankets for the homeless and bibs and walker bags for nursing homes and veterans in the area.

Mrs. Krenzelak’s passion (obsession) for sewing was concentrated in making quilts for the entire family. She received several blue ribbons at both the Washington County Fair and the Florida State Fair for her personalized heritage photo quilts which are a prized possession of her children and grandchildren.

She loved playing cards and games with her friends, especially dominos and “Aggravation”.

She was fondly called Kahuna by her grandchildren.
