William W. Dickinson, 73, of McDonald died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Kindred Hospital of Oakdale.
He was born February 21, 1939 in McDonald, the son of the late Raymond H. and Marcella (Scopel) Dickinson.
Mr. Dickinson worked as a meter reader for Allegheny Power / West Penn until his retirement in 2000.
He was a life member and former Chief of McDonald Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Chartiers Lodge #297 F. & A.M. Canonsburg. He enjoyed camping, fishing and time spent with his children, grandchildren and family.
On May 3, 1958, he married Marilee Shumaker, who died August 24, 2012.
Surviving are three daughters, Barbara (Randy) Scott of Sturgeon, Diana (Patricia Quarry) Dickinson of Turtle Creek and Susanne (Craig Beardsley) Yochum of McDonald; a son, William W. (Jodi) Dickinson, Jr. of Sturgeon; nine grandchildren, Kristen Scott, Lauren (Mike) Kramer, Nicole and Cody Dickinson, Jacob, Tiffany, Amanda, Lyndsie and Matthew Yochum; and three great grandchildren, Billy Seibel, Ashley Yochum and Michael Ryan Kramer.
Services were private and under the direction of Nation Funeral Home, Inc., McDonald.
