Pastor Thomas David Boris, age 83, beloved husband, father, Pap, and faithful servant of the Lord, went home to be with Jesus on August 28, 2025.

Thomas lived a life marked by faith, family, and service. Known to many for the hat he proudly wore—emblazoned with “FBI: Firm Believer in Jesus”—his passion for the Word was evident in everything he did. He faithfully pastored Kingdom Life Chapel, pouring his heart into sharing the love of Christ with all who crossed his path.

A devoted family man, Thomas was the loving husband to his high school sweetheart, Sandra. Rarely seen apart, they built a life of love and friendship that was an example to all. He cherished his role as father and especially as Pap to his two grandsons, who were the joy of his heart.

Born on May 26, 1942, in Passaic, NJ, he was a son of the late Joseph E. and Luella I. Boris. Thomas graduated from Scott Township High School, where he played football, a sport that continued to be a lifelong passion. He went on to play at Purdue University, in the U.S. Army, and was later drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles before continuing his career in the Canadian Football League. After his athletic career, he worked as a draftsman for many companies, including Eastman Chemical Company until his retirement.

Whether pastoring, driving around town with purpose, or simply sharing a word of encouragement, Thomas was always on the move—living fully and loving deeply. His life’s testimony was simple but profound: he loved the Lord with all his heart.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra, his son Thomas J. and his wife Stephanie, his treasured grandsons, Thomas L. and Nicholas, two brothers, Dennis Boris and Edward Boris, a sister, Mary Ann Montgomery, and a host of family, church family, and friends who will carry his legacy forward.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Kingdom Life Chapel, 153 Cleveland Road, Washington, PA on Friday, September 12 at 1:00pm followed by a burial ceremony at Cross Creek Cemetery at 2:30pm, entrusting him to the Lord he so faithfully served, and a luncheon shortly thereafter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to a charity of your choice.
