Ruth Priscilla "Sam" Roberts age 75 of McDonald, passed Thursday, May 8, 2025.
She was born March 18, 1950; a daughter of Thomas Groff and Ruth Sutherland Miller.
"Sam" was a Sole Proprietor in the restaurant business. She was the owner of the Sand Trap in McDonald, now known as Harrington's. "Sam" was a animal activist. She loved all animals in general. She enjoyed gardening , Watching murder mysteries, Traveling with her good friend Richard Schmac, and spending time with her family.
In 1993 she married Kurt Roberts who passed December 15, 2010.
Surviving are two children, Amy Jane McLean of McDonald, and James "Jimmy" Cowden of McDonald; seven grandchildren, Cheyenne Liebert, Mackenzie and Madison Beaver, James Cowden II, Matthew and Zander Cowden, Kodee MaDan; three great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Naomi Diaz and Aiyanna Johnson.
A Memorial gathering will take place on Monday, May12, 2025 from 4-6PM at Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Service LLC. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057. A Memorial Service will take place Immediately following the Memorial Gathering at 6PM. Memorial contributions are suggested to Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Service.
