Ruth E. Douglass, 90, of McDonald, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at her home.
She was born October 16, 1923 in Cecil, the daughter of the late James W. and Clara E. (Dumann) McMurray.
Mrs. Douglass was a Nurse’s Assistant and had worked at St. Joe’s Hospital before her retirement.
She was a member of the Imperial Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Beverly (Jim) McClain of Kane; a son, William W. Douglass of Castle Shannon; a sister, Clare (Bill) Kress of McDonald; two brothers, Charles McMurray of Ingram and Robert McMurray of Portersville; five grandchildren; one step grandchild; nine great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, James and Norman McMurray; a sister, Lois Brown; and a grandson.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 15 with Rev. Angela Kress officiating. Memorials may be made to Pittsburgh District Church of the Nazarene, 177 North Road, Butler, PA 16001.
