Roxanne Mary Shute, age 71, peacefully passed on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 3, 1953, in Hickman, Pennsylvania. She was welcomed into the world by the late Phillip Gerald and Mary Katherine (Venersky) Schomer.

Roxanne dedicated over 20 years of her professional life to the Marketing Department at Midcon Corporation in Chicago until the arrival of her beloved children led her to embrace the role of a devoted mother. Her legacy is one of joy, love, and commitment, qualities that resonate strongly with those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A graduate of South Fayette High School, Roxanne furthered her education at Penn State University, where she earned a Master's Degree. This foundation laid the groundwork for her successful career and shaped her tenacious approach toward life and family.

Roxanne married her husband, Gary A. Shute, on November 23, 1974. Their partnership was fortified by unshakeable love and respect for each other over a treasured 50 years together. She took immense pride in her role as a mother to her daughter, Kathryn "Kate" (Tim Sayler) Shute of Philadelphia, and her son, Christopher "Chris" Shute of Scranton. Family was everything to Roxanne, and the warmth of this bond will never fade. After retirement, Roxanne and Gary returned to their family farm in McDonald, PA, where she passionately enjoyed gardening, designing flowerbeds, and sharing the beauty of her world with every soul she met.

Roxanne is also survived by her sister, Pam Russo of Bridgeville, who shared in the joys and challenges of life with her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Roxanne was preceded in death by sisters Barb Schomer and her twin Wendy Pacific, and brother Phil Schomer. Their cherished memories continue to live within the hearts of her surviving family.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, who will forever remember her kindness, nurturing spirit, and the profound impact she had on their lives. Roxanne Mary Shute's remarkable journey has come to a close, but her spirit remains an enduring beacon of strength and love.
