Norman LeRoy Shoup, 77, of Bulger, died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at his home.
He was born February 6, 1938 in Butler, a son of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Brown) Shoup.
Mr. Shoup was a mill wright with Dravo Steel on Neville Island. He retired in 2005 after working for Silverstar Meats.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and restored antique cars. He enjoyed “Doo-wap” music, John Wayne movies and his wife’s cooking. He loved time spent with his grandkids and loved dogs, especially “Minnie.”
On July 1, 1960, he married Charlotte "Cookie" Arbuckle, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, DeeAnn (Todd) Mercier of McDonald; two sons, John Shoup of Bulger and Steven (Pamela) Shoup of Steubenville, OH; a sister, Linda O'Leary of Heidelberg; eight grandchildren, Ashley Speicher, Amanda, Jonathan and Tyler Shoup, Jacob and Dahlia Shoup, Keith and Ashley Mancinelli; and 4 great grandchildren, Adalynn and Willow Speicher, John and Daniel Shoup.
Deceased is a brother, Curtis Shoup.
Friends will be received at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, from 2 – 4 and from 6 – 8 p.m., the time of services on Monday, October 12, 2015. Rev. Tina Hosler, pastor of Paris Presbyterian Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made on behalf of the family to Nation Funeral Home, Inc.
