Elizabeth (Liz) Jaye (Schilinski) Spotti, beloved wife of Donald Spotti Jr., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the age of 44. Liz was born on October 28, 1980,in Washington, PA. Daughter of Mara and John Schilinski both of Slovan.
Liz had a fierce love for life and never did anything halfway. She especially loved feeling the sun on her face and listening to the waves roll in. The beach was where she felt most at peace and most herself. She and Donnie shared a passion for traveling and making memories wherever they went. Whether it was a spontaneous trip or a planned vacation, they always made it special. Liz loved Donnie with everything she had. He was her husband and the love of her life.
Liz absolutely adored her family and loved spending time with them. She was always up for hanging out, having a good time, and telling one of her wild stories. Liz was always the loudest in the room, usually interrupting someone else’s story cracking up about something else. She also thoroughly enjoyed teasing her nephews and creating TikTok’swith her nieces. One of her favorite things was bringing friends over to Big John’s house so they could hear one of his legendary stories. She would stand there with a huge grin on her face ready to laugh before the wild tale was over. Liz also shared a special bond with her mom. They loved going out to eat, getting pedicures, and having heartfelt conversations about life, family, and The Lord. Those moments with Mara filled her heart in ways words could never fully capture
Liz’s lifelong passion for wrestling was one of her most defining traits. She was a fierce supporter of collegiate wrestling especially Oklahoma State and Penn State. Whether she was in the stands cheering or helping support a wrestling event, Liz lived and breathed the sport. Through wrestling, she built a vast network of friends across the country, many of whom became like family. True to her character, her love for the sport created a vibrant community around her, and her presence in that world will be deeply missed.
Those who knew Liz will remember her for her boundless heart and magnetic personality. She had a deep-rooted desire to help others, often putting their needs above her own without hesitation. Liz was passionate, caring, and unapologetically herself, never one to blend into the background. She had a bold sense of fashion, a radiant energy, and a laugh that literally filled the room. You always knew when Liz had arrived and once you met her, you never forgot her. Her selflessness, charisma, and energetic spirit made her unforgettable to everyone lucky enough to cross her path.
