Dominick W. Rossi, 72 of Oakdale, died Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his home.
He was born February 13, 1946 in Canonsburg, a son of the late Harry T. and Anna Marie (DeVitis) Rossi Sr.
Mr. Rossi was a 1964 graduate of Fort Cherry High School.
In June of 1964, he began working as a coal miner for Clark Coal and became a mine foreman. He later worked for Consol Coal until his retirement in 1994. After retiring, he went back to work for T.A.R. Self-Storage in North Fayette Twp., where he currently was employed.
Mr. Rossi was involved in mine rescue. He attended Crossroads United Methodist Church, Oakdale. He enjoyed smoking a good cigar, was a big Steeler’s fan and never missed a day of work. But his joy in life was his family and grandchildren.
On May 4, 1968, he married Deanna J. Jennette, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Bill (Julie) Rossi of Oakdale; a daughter, Michelle Rossi-Meekins of Coraopolis; a brother, John Rossi of Slovan; and three grandchildren, Brandon and Logan Rossi and Makayla Meekins.
Deceased is a brother, Harry T. Rossi Jr.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 with Rev. Steve Cordle, pastor of Crossroads United Methodist Church, Oakdale, officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
