Delmas Carl “Dale” McElhany, Jr., 67, of McDonald, died Monday, December 5, 2016 at St. Clair Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 10, 1949, a son of the late Delmas Carl and the late Agnes (Mucha) McElhany Sr.
Mr. McElhany was a graduate of the 1967 Class of Fort Cherry High School.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for John Subrick Contracting in Eighty-four, before retiring in 1996.
Mr. McElhany enjoyed hunting and fishing and having a beer with friends. He loved riding a golf cart with his grandson at the family's camp in Erie, "Camp Runamuk."
Surviving is his wife for the past 27 years, Terri Cook Springer.
Also surviving are a son, Delmas Carl McElhany III; a step-son, Robert A. (Bobbie) Springer Jr. of Waynesburg; and a grandson, Robert A. Springer, III.
Deceased are a sister, Colleen Darnley, and a brother, Dennis McElhany.
The family will receive friends to pay their respects on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A graveside service and burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald. The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
